Spring Scholastic Book Fair is Around the Corner

The Mountain View Spring Scholastic Book Fair will take place in the library March 16-22. Each class will visit the Book Fair and share wish lists with their parents. Additionally, the book fair opens early each morning and at least an hour after school so that parents can come in and shop with their children. To make this event a success, volunteers are needed. Jr. Pope and Jr. Lassiter Cheer Tryouts Approach

Informational meetings, tryout clinics and cheer tryouts will happen this month for rising sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders in the Pope and Lassiter school districts.
Times for middle school sessions and tryouts in the Pope district are:

  • March 10, 7 p.m., informational session, Pope High media center
  • March 22-25, 5 to 6:30 p.m., winter clinic and mock tryout, Pope High gymnasium. Cost is $20.
  • April 20-22, 5 to 6:30 p.m., review for tryouts, Pope High gymnasium
  • April 23, 5 to 8 p.m., tryouts, Pope High gym

  • March 10, 7 p.m., mandatory parent meeting, Lassiter High cafeteria
  • March 22-24, 5 to 7 p.m., tryout clinic, Lassiter Main gymnasium
  • March 25, times to be announced, tryouts, Lassiter small gymnasium
