Foundation Update
As we conclude the school year, I’d like to thank the 150-plus families, teachers, staff, and friends who supported the Foundation this year. Your support will allow us to continue to provide finding for our computer lab teacher. I also want to thank this year’s Foundation board: Karen Lehman, Cathy Strobeck, Jill Cody, Michael French, Tommy Conner, Lucinda Stinson, Amy Fitzharris, JoEllen Smith, and Angela Huff. They have worked hard to make sure the Foundation is focused and continues to grow. I appreciate their support and time committed during the year.
Looking forward, we are still searching for volunteers for our 2010-2011 board. This is a great opportunity to impact the education and experience of every Mountain View student. Board positions typically require three to four hours per month. We also need a secretary for the upcoming year. If interested, please contact me at bwolfert@mac.com.
I will remain president next year and have learned a lot over this past year. We are looking at ways to make the Foundation stronger, more effective, and strategic. Some changes will be noticeable and others more subtle. In either case, please know that all of us serving on the board are committed to strengthening the Foundation and enhancing the experience of every student.
